With our love for wildlife and the great outdoors we pride ourselves on being effective and respectful in the woods. Stump grinding is a process used to remove tree stumps after a tree has been cut down. Instead of pulling out the entire stump, which can be labor-intensive and can cause damage to the surrounding area, stump grinding involves using a specialized machine to grind the stump and major roots into small wood chips. The stump grinder has a rotating cutting disk that grinds away the wood of the stump down below the ground level. After grinding, the remaining wood chips can be used as mulch or can be removed from the site. Our logging service offers landowners a way to preserve there land while making money in the process. We come out to your woodlot and evaluate the timber and let you know how much we can offer to buy your standing timber.
Our goal of selective logging is sustainability. When clear cutting, or cutting down entire forests, is used in the timber industry, it leaves nothing behind to regrow. Selective logging prevents an entire forest from being destroyed because just a few trees are removed. It also allows loggers to be more selective and avoid cutting down entire species of trees.
To have a bright future as individuals and a country as a whole, we need to ensure we’re using sustainable practices while interacting when the environment. We want our children and grandchildren to have access to the beautiful public parks and forests that we currently have, but we have to make an effort to sustain such places. The use of selective logging is one way to do so.

Ash Trees are a native species to Canada and currently make up a large portion of our tree canopies. Sadly, our 2,000,000 Ash Trees are all going to die. Emerald Ash Borer – a highly destructive green beetle native to Asia – has been infesting our Ash Trees since 2002. It is at a stage right now where treatment is not an option and the death of all of our Ash Trees is a certainty.
What should I do if I have an Ash Tree on my property?
If you have an Ash Tree on your property, it is probably already infected with EAB and will sadly need to be removed before it becomes dangerous. Ash Trees can be infected for years before they start showing signs of the disease.
Call us to come and see if you need to remove your ash tree.
Be warned that there is bylaws in certain areas that enforce you to cut down your ash tree as it is a hazard to anything in its path.
It is more cost effective to cut down a living ash tree then it is to cut down a dead/rotted ash tree that is no longer structurally sound.
